What is the EATLF
The East African Telecentre leaders Forum (EATLF) is a biannual gathering of telecentre practitioners in the East African sub region. The EATLF is an initiative of UgaBYTES with support from telecentre.org a joint social investment of IDRC, Microsoft, and SDC.
The event is part of the global framework of telecentre.org and focuses on different themes.
The gathering is focused at facilitating learning and sharing of ideas and solutions among telecentre practitioners.
The event is usually planned to run in two phases; the online session occurs two weeks prior to the face to face session.

GDCO is one of the Civil Society Organizations (Non-governmental and non profitable) in Gedaref state (SUDAN) The objective of the organization is the development and advancement of the individual citizen in the Gedaref state through ICT. The organization is the first to establish a Digital City in the Sudan, and is the winner of the Information for Development Award (I4d 2007) India, August 2007.

GDCO was established late 2005 in the framework of Twining between Gedaref city and the city of Eindhoven of Netherlands, by initiation from the Digital City of Eindhoven (DSE) and Gedaref state Public water Organization(GSPWO). The digital city of Eindhoven donated more than 750 computers to Gedaref digital city.
